Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) slammed the Biden administration during a Fox News interview over the weekend, saying that the administration had repeatedly lied to the American people about scandals that are unfolding under its watch.
Gabbard made the remarks during an interview with Jeanine Pirro on Saturday night that focused on the border crisis and other issues that the administration is facing, including the pandemic, the Afghanistan debacle, and schools.
“The faith and trust that the American people need to have in our leaders are dropping every day,” Gabbard said. “The Department of Homeland Security Secretary recently told Congress our borders are secure. This is what he said, this kind of bald-faced lie whether it has to do with domestic issues or foreign policy issues.”
“We’ve seen this with Afghanistan and the tragically botched withdrawal of our troops and Americans out of Afghanistan when people are being lied to, the American people are being lied to, it is revealing of the arrogance, and the self-serving nature of leaders who are in power in this country,” she continued. “And the disrespect, the disrespect that they have for the American people, and it’s why people are losing faith and trust in those leaders. If we have leaders who respect the people, then the people will respect our leaders. If we have leaders who trust the American people, we will trust our leaders. Southwest’s pilot association denied a sick-out in a news release issued Saturday which said, “SWAPA is aware of operational difficulties affecting Southwest Airlines today due to a number of issues, but we can say with confidence that our Pilots are not participating in any official or unofficial job actions.”
The pilot’s association filed a lawsuit against the company on Friday, requesting that a federal court block the company’s ability to mandate the vaccine. They argue it violates the Railway Labor Act, according to Bloomberg.
The Railway Labor Act sets guidelines for relations between unions and airlines.
The Biden administration put out rules for airline employees to get the vaccine, as they have contracts with the federal government. Most major airlines are complying with the guidance.
“The new vaccine mandate unlawfully imposes new conditions of employment and the new policy threatens termination of any pilot not fully vaccinated by December 8, 2021,” the filing said, according to Bloomberg.
“Southwest Airlines’ additional new and unilateral modification of the parties’ collective bargaining agreement is in clear violation of the RLA.”
The airline cited weather and air traffic control issues for their sweeping cancellations and even dismissed concerns that staff was protesting its newly imposed vaccine mandate, which went along with Biden administration guidance.
“It’s inaccurate,” a Southwest spokeswoman said in an email, according to CNBC. “There’s a lot of unfounded rumor and speculation circulating.”
Yet, the Federal Aviation Association said that there were no staffing shortages being reported for air traffic control and that the weather concerns in Florida were minimal. In addition, other airlines were not experiencing delays and cancellations on the same scale.
“No FAA air traffic staffing shortages have been reported since Friday. Flight delays & cancellations occurred for a few hours Friday PM due to widespread severe weather, military training, & limited staffing in one area of the Jacksonville en route center,” the government agency tweeted Sunday.

It seems that Southwest is poorly attempting damage control for the internal issues that they are facing with the mandate, and their customers who had flights this Columbus Day weekend certainly took note.

If the pilots are really taking action against the vaccine mandate, they should be applauded, as it will likely be tough for people who simply do not want the shot to claim a medical or religious exemption.
Incidents like these will continue to occur if legal action is not taken against these contentious mandates. The entire economy will presumably take a hit as a result.

Former President Donald Trump will not give President Joe Biden and congressional Democrats what they want.
Trump on Friday fired his first salvo in what likely will be a long legal fight to protect his presidential records from Democrats who have set up a commission to investigate the Jan. 6 Capitol incursion.
Trump has demanded in a letter to the National Archives that it not release records to the panel due to legal issues “including but not limited to the presidential communications, deliberative process, and attorney-client privileges.”
Trump followed that by calling the situation a political “game,” according to the New York Post.
“The Radical Left Democrats tried the RUSSIA Witch Hunt, they tried the fake impeachments, and now they are trying once again to use Congress to persecute their political opponents. Their requests are not based in law or reality—it’s just a game to these politicians,” Trump said in a statement.
“The Democrats are drunk on power, but this dangerous assault on our Constitution and important legal precedent will not work.
“This Committee’s fake investigation is not about January 6th any more than the Russia Hoax was about Russia. Instead, this is about using the power of the government to silence ‘Trump’ and our Make America Great Again movement, the greatest such achievement of all time.”
White House Counsel Dana Remus sent the National Archives a letter telling the independent government agency to obey Biden, and not Trump, according to NBC.
“President Biden has determined that an assertion of executive privilege is not in the best interests of the United States, and therefore is not justified as to any of the documents,” Remus wrote.
“These are unique and extraordinary circumstances. Congress is examining an assault on our Constitution and democratic institutions provoked and fanned by those sworn to protect them, and the conduct under investigation extends far beyond typical deliberations concerning the proper discharge of the President’s constitutional responsibilities.
“The constitutional protections of executive privilege should not be used to shield, from Congress or the public, information that reflects a clear and apparent effort to subvert the Constitution itself,” Remus wrote.
Trump fired back at the Biden White House.
“Biden has rejected our request to withhold White House information from the House Unselect Committee investigating the January 6th protest, but has not taken a stance on the insurrection that took place on November 3rd, often referred to as the Crime of the Century,” Trump said in a statement, referring to the 2020 presidential election, according to the New York Post.
“With our Country collapsing, with our Military disgraced, with our Borders nonexistent, when will the American people have had enough?”
Former Trump White House strategist Steve Bannon has said he will not respond to a subpoena from the House Select Committee investigating the incursion, prompting a hardball response from two members of the panel.
“Though the Select Committee welcomes good-faith engagement with witnesses seeking to cooperate with our investigation, we will not allow any witness to defy a lawful subpoena or attempt to run out the clock, and we will swiftly consider advancing a criminal contempt of Congress referral,” Chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson a Mississippi Democrat, and Vice-Chair Rep. Liz Cheney, a Wyoming Republican, said in a statement, according to the Post.

On Tuesday Facebook “whistleblower” and Democrat donor, Frances Haugen went before a Senate subcommittee this week two days after appearing on “60 Minutes” to push for more tech control of free speech as they see fit.
Facebook, Google-YouTube, and Twitter have been eliminating conservative voices on their platform for years. Even President Trump was banned from Facebook after their fake news reports that he organized an “insurrection” at the US Capitol on Jan. 6th.
According to FOX News, Haugen has donated 37 times and given nearly $2,000 to Democrats and related PACs since 2016 while being employed at Facebook, Pinterest, and Gigster, according to Federal Election Commission records.

It was called the “Civic Integrity Unit,” and as Haugen herself revealed, it was established just in time for the 2020 election, and wound down as soon as Biden won.
This unit, which was tasked with combating “disinformation” around the election, would almost certainly have been involved in the decision to suppress the New York Post’s story.
What’s more, Haugen told the Wall Street Journal that she only joined Facebook in the first place because she wanted to fight “misinformation.”
