Trump’s Economy Really Was Better Than Obama’s

Bloomberg
“In 2016, real median household income was $62,898, just $257 above its level in 1999. Over the next three years it grew almost $6,000, to $68,703. That’s perhaps why, despite the pandemic, 56% of U.S. voters polled last month said their families were better off today than they were four years ago,” Karl Smith writes.

Vice President Pence: Veterans Day Is a Time to Thank and Appreciate Heroes Who Have Preserved Our Liberty

-Fox News
“Every veteran of the armed forces of the United States is a hero to the American people,” Vice President Mike Pence writes. “As a father of a Marine Corps captain and a father-in-law of a Navy lieutenant who’s currently deployed, I couldn’t be more proud to be vice president to a president who cares so deeply about the men and women of our armed forces and every veteran in America.”

Businesses Trying to Rebound After Unrest Face a Challenge: Not Enough Insurance

-The New York Times
“It’s a prominent refrain these days from activists in the aftermath of arson and looting—businesses have insurance. Buildings can be repaired. Broken glass is a small price to pay in a movement for justice,” Nellie Bowles writes. But for many small businesses and entrepreneurs, “there is no easy way to replace all that they lost.”

Trump Bars Americans From Investing in Firms That Help China’s Military

-The Wall Street Journal
“American Capital should not be used to finance the construction of Chinese Communist weapons literally aimed at killing Americans and driving the US military out of Asia,” White House Director of Trade and Manufacturing Policy Peter Navarro says. “This strong action by President Trump puts a stop to that Wall Street insanity.”

WATCH“We’ve shaved years off” time it takes to develop a vaccine

“It doesn’t get more heartbreaking—soul-wrenching—than the funeral of tiny Davell Gardner, the youngest victim of New York City’s crime spike . . . And [criminals] now believe—alas, with good reason—that the [New York City] police and the rest of the law-enforcement system are helpless to stop them,” the New York Post editorial board writes.

The critics have it “100 percent wrong”—the Department of Homeland Security’s actions in Portland “should just be the first step in disrupting the organized violence aimed at intimidating public officials, injuring law enforcement officers, destroying public and private property and making our streets less safe,” James Jay Carafano writes for Fox News.

Ivanka Trump joined Interior Secretary David Bernhardt to visit “Duluth Pack, a Minnesota manufacturer that pivoted from leather and canvas products to [personal protective equipment] during the coronavirus pandemic, as part of her Pledge to America’s Workers that focuses on job training,” Evie Fordham writes for Fox Business.

Coronavirus Shows the World Health Organization in Dire Need of Reform

The White House – April 14, 2020
“Purposely or not, by praising China’s response to a virus the WHO first denied and then lied about, this longtime paragon of public health is fueling a ‘China versus the world’ showdown,” Adam Goodman writes in Fox News.

By enabling the Chinese government’s misconduct, “the WHO has become the new poster child for international organizations so bloated with bureaucracy and punctuated by politics they’ve turned into something well beyond what they were intended to be.”

“New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo gave high praise to President Trump for his handling of the coronavirus pandemic in his state, saying the president remains ‘amazingly accessible’ and has ‘delivered’ where it counts.” Gov. Cuomo said that “if you do the right thing by New York, I’ll say it,” Jessica Chasmar reports for The Washington Times.

“A World Health Organization official said Monday that she suspected human-to-human transmission of the novel coronavirus ‘right from the start,’ beginning on Dec. 31, 2019. But WHO officials echoed Chinese authorities and denied any suggestion of human-to-human transmission for weeks,” Peter Hasson writes for The Daily Caller.

“President Donald Trump recently announced that Colorado would be receiving an additional 100 ventilators from FEMA’s national stockpile to combat COVID-19. This should be a moment of celebration for Coloradans suffering from COVID-19 and their families,” Jeff Hunt writes in The Denver Post.
