Fighting for honest elections

Judicial Watch

Judicial Watch – June 4th, 2020

Dear Mr. Ramos,

Judicial Watch has long been the national leader fighting to enforce federal laws designed to protect the honesty of our elections, and to challenge efforts to weaken those safeguards and make it easier for ineligible individuals, including illegal aliens, to vote.

In fact, we recently filed a lawsuit against Pennsylvania and three of its largest counties (Bucks, Chester and Delaware) over their failure to follow National Voter Registration Act and clean their voter rolls.

This Pennsylvania action follows closely on the heels of a similar lawsuit we filed against North Carolina and two of its largest counties (Guilford and Mecklenburg) for failing to clean their voter rolls as required by federal law. North Carolina, we allege, has more than 1,000,000 inactive voters on their rolls!

Dirty voting rolls can mean dirty elections!

And now, calls from the Left for out of control mail-in voting makes the need for clean voter rolls even more essential!

No organization in the country (including the U.S. Department of Justice) is as effective as Judicial Watch holding states and counties accountable under federal election law!

That’s why we’re in Pennsylvania and North Carolinaand why we may file more lawsuits against states and counties we previously warned about their failure to maintain clean voter rolls.

And this is why I hope you will support our efforts with your best contribution today to Judicial Watch.

The fight over honest elections is in full swing across America. The organized Left (funded in large part by George Soros) is pulling out all the stops to weaken election safeguards, permit illegal aliens to vote…and illicitly tilt the electoral playing field in their favor for years to come.

And our dogged and persistent litigation to see that existing federal election laws are enforced (as we have successfully already done in states including California,OhioIndiana and Kentucky) are the single most effective means to thwart the Left’s unconscionable drive to corrupt and degrade the integrity of our elections and undermine the very foundations of our Republic.

That’s why I hope you will join our fight by making your best contribution to Judicial Watch right now. Your support will help us continue to fight through the courts and the legal system for ballot integrity, while keeping us on track with all our other investigations and litigation. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Thomas Fitton
President

P.S. Under the guise of the corona virus crisis, the Left is calling for out of control mail-in voting which makes the need for clean voter rolls even more essential. That’s why our work today is even more important and why your best gift now will help tremendously

A first in U.S. history

The White House – 04/ 20/ 2020

America is winning its war on the Coronavirus. President Trump announced another milestone over the weekend: More than 4 million Americans have now been tested.

“That’s a record anywhere in the world,” he said. The United States has now conducted more tests than France, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, India, Austria, Australia, Sweden, and Canada—combined.

🎬 Kellyanne Conway: It’s time to work together toward reopening America.

President Trump’s response is unprecedented for another reason, too—one that most Americans won’t see covered in the news. “Throughout history, national emergencies have led to a more powerful and centralized federal government,” Hudson Institute Distinguished Fellow Christopher DeMuth writes in The Wall Street Journal.

Until now. “For the first time in U.S. history, an administration is responding to a crisis with deregulation and decentralization,” he says.

Here’s why. Career politicians, both in Washington and around the world, have one instinct during an emergency: to grab power. It’s rarely temporary, and it often has little to do with the situation at hand. Instead, politicians create more agencies and more red tape, claiming that Bigger Government will prevent the next great threat.

The opposite happens. A slow, bureaucratic response globally made the Coronavirus worse. The World Health Organization, with its $2.4 billion annual budget, didn’t prepare the world for Coronavirus—it downplayed the risk while parroting claims from the Chinese Communist Party that the virus wasn’t spreading between humans.

Elsewhere in the world, countries with government-run socialized medicine have been forced to ration care, often at the expense of older patients.

In the United States, President Trump moved to slash red tape quickly, eliminating outdated rules and bureaucracy around testing, treatments, telemedicine, and more to speed up our nationwide response to his standards.

President Trump knows that Washington works best when it leads, not controls. His priority is making sure that every state, locality, and frontline worker has the resources needed to fight this virus. Whether it’s securing more ventilators or rapidly expanding testing, he’s brought in the full power of America’s best-on-Earth private sector to help.

The results show that America is unstoppable when it works together. Closely watched areas such as New York, Detroit, and New Orleans are stabilizing and seeing progress. Nationwide, the latest data suggests that America is past its peak for new cases—and on track to see far fewer deaths than even the most optimistic models once projected.

The President knows who to thank for winning this war: you. Our nation’s doctors, nurses, innovators, essential workers, and patriotic citizens are the best in the world.

“The American people have done a hell of a job,” he says.

Vice President Pence: Our large metro areas appear to be past their peak.

MORESee President Trump’s phased approach for Opening Up America Again!

THE WHITE HOUSE – MARCH 26, 2020

America marshals all its resources to fight the Coronavirus

Last night, the Senate unanimously passed a $2.2 trillion emergency deal—the largest economic relief package in our nation’s history. “96-0 in the United States Senate. Congratulations AMERICA!” President Trump wrote on Twitter.

The American people have heroically joined forces and stepped up to help defeat the Coronavirus. But this outbreak has left American workers and small business owners in immediate need of financial relief.

The CARES Act, as it’s called, will provide just that:
-$1,200 direct payments to middle-class Americans, plus $500 for each child—a total of $3,400 for a family of four
-$100 billion in direct support to our hospital systems, first responders, and health care workers
– $370+ billion to small business owners to keep employees on the payroll
-Delays federal student loan payments for the next 6 months

“As we fight to protect American lives, we’re also protecting American livelihoods,” the President said during yesterday’s White House Coronavirus Task Force briefing. “I encourage the House to pass this vital legislation and send the bill to my desk for signature. Without delay, I will sign it immediately.”

🎬 VP Pence: American companies are stepping up to supply medical equipment!

The Coronavirus has put both America and the entire world through an unprecedented medical crisis. But from the beginning of the outbreak, President Trump took clear and decisive action, immediately putting life-saving travel restrictions in place and forging a partnership between the Federal government and private sector to take on this challenge together.

Today, those efforts continued as the President participated in a video teleconference with fellow G20 leaders to address global needs. Later, he and Vice President Mike Pence held another teleconference with our nation’s Governors to continue supporting local response efforts.

🎬 President Trump: The more aggressively we commit to social distancing, the sooner we can return to normal.

Dr. Birx: “When you are protecting yourself, you are protecting others.”
